Hartenberg Doorkeeper SMG 2022

Inviting aromas of ripe black plums and mulberries, accented by hints of aniseed and fine white pepper. A subtle meatiness lingers at the end, adding complexity. On the palate, it delivers a plush, velvety texture that expands generously, revealing warm spices of cinnamon and nutmeg that intertwine with black cherry flavours, while fine tannins provide structure and allow for a long and satisfying finish.

Almost equal portions of each of the varieties. The Grenache imparts strawberry-like bouquet and fresh, vibrant fruit on the palate.  The Mourvèdre provides a beguiling silky mouth feel whilst the Shiraz gives structure.

Our Doorkeeper range of wines features the iconic handle and key (keep) to our underground cellar and represents the entrance into the world of Hartenberg wines.

The wines are crafted from younger vineyard parcels and suitable for everyday enjoyment, whilst still providing the quality that you have come to expect from Hartenberg Estate.
