A bright clear medium ruby colour. The nose, starting with violets, evolves into blackberry and bramble. The palate is vibrant with a touch of complex spices, like freshly crushed black pepper and liquorice.
The Tamboerskloof Syrah 2020 is an excellent vintage with a bright ruby colour. The wine is youthful with light tension on the palate. A juicy, yet elegant, wine with excellent concentration.

In the cellar
Grapes were sorted three times before proceeding to stainless steel tanks and transported, without pumping, into the fermentation vessels.
In the vineyard
The grapes were picked by hand into lug boxes weighing roughly 17kg each. The 2020 vintage saw a dry winter, a warm spring with excellent flowering, and timely January rain promoting stress-free veraison and vibrant colour. Warm, stable pre-harvest temperatures ensured optimal tannin development, with healthy, rot-free grapes and enhanced concentration from lower yields.

Food Pairing
The elegance of the wine makes it wonderfully versatile for food pairing. However, the Tamboerskloof Syrah pairs exceptionally well with duck, roasted lamb, venison and hearty winter meals.
