With its enchanting rose gold colour, this wine shows juicy pomegranate and candy floss on the nose which develops into subtle floral aromas. On the palate sun-ripe melon is dominant with undertones of blackcurrant. On the finish, Seville orange can be enjoyed along with red cherry.

In the cellar
The wine is made up of three different batches. 50% of the blend is made up of Merlot, made from the French method called Saigneé. The remaining components, one from Grenache Noir and the other from Merlot, were made using the Blanc de Noir method. The Grenache component goes into neutral French oak barrels for 2 months to add extra depth and complexity.
In the vineyard
Vineyards range from 200 – 260m above sea level located at the foothills of the Helderberg Mountains. With a close proximity to the coast, the coastal breezes coming from False Bay has a cooling effect on the vineyards.
