In the cellar
The crushed grapes are inoculated with pure yeast and fermented dry at 26 - 28 ËšC.
In the vineyard
Warm and dry weather conditions resulted in a smaller yield and excellent quality grapes.
Ageing
This wine was made to enjoy now, however, it can age for a further 8 - 10 years if stored in the ideal conditions.

About the Wine Estate
The Steenkamp family are the fourth generation owners of Groenland and have established a reputation for producing outstanding red and white wines in the fertile Bottelary area near Stellenbosch. Complex varietal wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and a special blend, Antoinette Marie, have placed the estate in the forefront of superior red wine production. Maturation takes place in American and French oak barrels.
