In the cellar

The grapes were naturally fermented in open fermenters before pressing and transferring to barrels. The wine spent a total of 24 months in French oak barrels. A total of 18% was new oak. The remainder of the barrels comprised of 2nd,3rd and 4th barrels of 225 L.

In the vineyard

All grapes come from our farm, Klein Welmoed in Stellenbosch. All the vineyards were trellised. All grapes are harvested by hand in individual bins and then transported to the cellar.

Ageing

This wine can be enjoyed now, however, it will age for 5-10 years if stored in the ideal conditions.
