Annandale loves the earthly honesty behind their Shiraz because of the typical plum, pepper and spice aromas followed by hints of forest floor and cinnamon on the finish. Colour: Rich and thick intense red Bouquet: Ripe fruitcake of intense plum, dark berry and spice Taste: Dark berry syrup with soft plums, vanilla, cinnamon and spice. Smooth long finish.

In the cellar
Harvesting, crushing and pressing, fermentation, clarification, and then aging and bottling. Aged in a combination of 1st, 2nd and 3rd fill French Oak barrels.
In the vineyard
Our grapes were handpicked from trellised vineyards which grow on the Westerly slopes at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch. We have a slower ripening in cooler conditions that leads to riper tannins, good fruit development, and richness in the final wine product.
Ageing
Drinks well now, however, will age well for 10 years + if stored in the correct conditions.

This Shiraz pairs really well with smooth camembert and brie cheese, with curries, and with bold dishes like Eisbein, and always with red meat.
